Sarah Brady, wife of crippled presidential Press Secretary James S. Brady, said that the House should pass a stiff gun-control bill “before it’s too late for another family like mine.”Sarah Brady said that John W. Hinckley Jr. paid $29 in a pawnshop to buy the gun he used to shoot her husband and President Reagan, and that “thousands of convicted felons, drug addicts and deranged individuals” obtain weapons with similar ease. The House is scheduled to vote Wednesday on rival firearms bills.
