West Los Angeles : Road to Be Renamed for Actor

The Los Angeles City Council has approved the renaming of Hamel Road to George Burns Road. A dedication ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the corner of Alden Drive and Hamel Road, next to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The festivities will include a marching band and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Burns is honorary chairman of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s $90-million endowment fund drive.
