Stater Bros. asked to delay its annual meeting.

In an amended lawsuit against suspended company President Jack H. Brown and his investor group, Stater Bros. asked the Delaware Chancery Court to block the use of written shareholder consents by Brown’s group to elect three directors. The Brown group recently amended its proxy materials to include the solicitation of written shareholder consents. Stater Bros. also asked the court to reschedule the annual meeting--at which Brown and Stater Bros. have mounted opposing director slates--to May 28 from April 28 if Stater Bros. prevails in the lawsuit.
