SAN SALVADOR —
A U.S.-supplied helicopter crashed into a mountain in eastern San Miguel province, killing all four Salvadoran soldiers aboard, the army said over the weekend.
The military press office said the UH-1H “Huey” helicopter, one of about 60 provided by the United States, was on a routine mission when its engine failed and it hit the mountainside Saturday near Agua Zarca, 75 miles east of San Salvador.
Two second lieutenants and two enlisted men were killed, the statement said.
