American Leslie Burr-Lenehan completed two perfect rides to win the $100,000 Volvo World Cup equestrian finals at Goteborg, Sweden.
Burr-Lenehan, of Westport, Conn., won her first World Cup title by 13 points--the biggest ever in the eight-year history of the competition--after the only faultless rounds over two third-leg courses.
The 29-year-old Burr-Lenehan, who who began riding and showing horses at age 6, picked up $25,000, a silver trophy and a Volvo sports car for her victory.
Two-time defending champion Conrad Homfeld, another member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic gold medal team, had to settle with third behind Canadian Ian Millar.
