Despite a rally and march by 250 students, parents and school patrons outside a school board meeting, students in Purdy, Mo., still cannot dance at school events. The rally climaxed when dozens of Purdy youths rushed in front of the crowd to dance to the theme song from “Footloose”--a movie about a fictitious small town where dancing was forbidden. The school board, however, declined to discuss the issue in the town of 930 people.
