Reagan Praises Media for Libya Raid Coverage

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan, appearing at the annual White House correspondents dinner, commended the news media for its coverage of the U.S. raid on Libya.
Reporters have “performed courageously and well” in covering the Libyan story “putting themselves in harm’s way, trying to give the American people the best and most accurate account possible of one of the most important stories of this decade,” Reagan said.
