Comprehensive Care Corp. said it has reached an agreement with HealthLink Behavioral Health Corp. of Portland, Ore., to manage the 120-bed Physicians & Surgeons Hospital in Portland. The Irvine-based company--which specializes in treatment for chemical abuse and psychiatric care--has managed the hospital’s psychiatric and chemical dependency-treatment program under contract since 1974. Under the new joint-venture agreement with HealthLink, CompCare eventually will convert the balance of the facility to treat alcohol abuse and psychiatric disorders, company officials said. Richard Santoni, CompCare’s president, declined to disclose the value of the agreement.
