A natural gas cooking stove left on for heating purposes was blamed by authorities for a fire that destroyed a mobile home at Porterville, killing a woman and her two sons. Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Teller said the bodies were found in the living room when he arrived at the scene shortly after the fire was reported. The victims were Sherri Lynn Lawson, 27; Ricky Lawson Jr., 8, and Shaw A. Lawson, 7.
