A 10-month-old Seattle boy, who disappeared after being left with baby-sitters April 15, was recovered in good condition in Arcadia, and three people were under arrest, Arcadia police said. The infant, Zachariah Mitchell, was found in the San Gabriel Valley city, along with a 14-year-old girl, at a motel, Lt. Dave Hinig said. The discovery was kept secret until the teen-ager’s boyfriend and a companion were arrested by a sheriff’s deputy near Gallup, N.M., Hinig said. “Seattle investigators believe the girl and boyfriend intended to keep the child as their own,” Hinig said. The girl was booked for investigation of kidnaping and held in Juvenile Hall. The boyfriend, Terry Lee Lovin, and Donald Eugene Curtis Jr., both 20, were held at McKinley County Jail. Hinig said a telephone operator identified a collect call to the parents as coming from Arcadia, and Seattle investigators had Arcadia police search motels and hotels in the area.
