Fired Worker Allowed Aid; Threw Meat at Supervisor

The Iowa Court of Appeals awarded jobless benefits Wednesday to a packing plant worker fired for throwing a piece of meat at a supervisor who had denied him a restroom break. It said that denying the break caused the incident and throwing the meat “was an unthinking, spontaneous expression of frustration.”
