A polished Soviet women’s national gymnastics team dominated the floor exercises to defeat an inexperienced U.S. squad at Worcester, Mass., in the nations’ first dual meet in three years.
Soviet gymnasts Eka Zeturidze, 17, and Svetlana Lebedinskaya, 14, tied with top scores of 39.35 in the McDonald’s Challenge. The men’s teams will compete today.
