Contestants in the California Lottery’s “Big Spin” will try for another record jackpot next week, after 15 people failed to win the growing grand prize. Next week’s jackpot will begin at $8.33 million, and continue increasing by $65,000 each time a contestant fails to hit one of three “grand prize” spots on the multicolored wheel. Since a Banning woman won $4.625 million March 22, 82 finalists have failed to take the top prize. In the latest spins, 5 contestants won $100,000 each, five won $50,000, and five $10,000.
