Hollywood Park to Have Betting on Kentucky Derby
Hollywood Park will conduct win, place, show and exacta wagering on the Kentucky Derby Saturday, with gates opening at 11 a.m., according to a track spokesman.
The Kentucky Derby is scheduled to be run between Saturday’s second and third races at Hollypark. The Derby will be shown on the track’s 600 color monitors and on the giant infield Matrix and Diamond Vision screens.
Nature’s Way took the lead midway through the stretch Wednesday and went on to win the $66,200 Senorita Stakes by one length over An Empress before a crowd of 16,222 at Hollywood Park.
Nature’s Way, ridden by Chris McCarron, ran the 1 1/16 miles on the turf course in 1:42 3/5 and paid $8.40, $3.80 and $2.20.
