Ford and Chrysler offered new sales incentives.

Ford added several cars and light trucks to its new financing incentive program, including 5.9%, 36-month financing on its Ranger models. All Escort, Escort EXP, Lynx, Thunderbird and Cougar models will be offered through July 5 at 6.9% financing on 36-month contracts. Chrysler reduced its 36-month rate to 5.8% for Horizon and Omni subcompacts delivered through May 31 and extended 6.8% financing on certain other models through July 10.
