A man accused of commandeering a commuter plane bound for Portland, Ore., and threatening to blow it up surrendered quietly after reportedly slashing his wrists, authorities said. Douglas B. Thomas, 29, of Tulsa, Okla., was being held without bail on hijacking charges. The 11 passengers and two crew members were held in the twin-engine turboprop for about two hours after it landed, but were released unharmed, officials said.
