Akins Project, Vista Ladera, Holds Opening

Vista Ladera, a single-family home project by Akins Development Co., opens this weekend in the master-planned urban village of Rancho Santa Margarita, with sales offices located at 11 Via Mariposa.

The Akins homes have two or three bedrooms, two to 2 1/2 baths, and have been designed in a California mission style. Prices range from $115,000 to $135,000, with an additional $35 monthly fee for participation in the homeowners association.

Three floor plans range in size from 990 to 1,488 square feet and two of the plans are two-storied. Every model includes a wood-burning fireplace, attached two-car garage, two side yards and a rear yard for outdoor dining or recreation.

A unique feature of the project is the attention to the architectural details of the mission style that includes covered entries, sculptured corbels and mortar-washed slumpstone columns. Archways extend to the interior of each home.

Models may be inspected daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
