Three University of Louisville football players were arrested for shoplifting Friday at a shopping center in Louisville, police said.
The players were sophomore quarterback Jay Gruden, 19; linebacker Anthony LaRubbio and Joseph Gomez, 21.
LaRubbio’s age and Gomez’s position were not immediately available.
“I’m disappointed something like this would happen,” said Coach Howard Schnellenberger, who was attending the Kentucky Derby. “I want to reserve any comment until we learn all the facts though.”
