A Hollywood stunt man began a 3,200-mile trek across America on horseback to arrive at the Statue of Liberty on the Fourth of July. Michael Larson, a 30-year-old actor and stunt man from Phoenix, Ariz., left Will Rogers State Beach on horseback to celebrate freedom and publicize the plight of American farmers, said his spokesman Murray Weissman. The 55-day ride will bring Larson to New York City on July 1, a few days before the refurbished Statue of Liberty will be unveiled. Larson plans to plant an American flag at the foot of the statue. Thirty horses will be used at different points during his trip and a support team of six will accompany Larson, Weissman said.
