Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc. of Garden Grove said it plans to open a 60-employee manufacturing plant in Puerto Rico this summer to produce two different lines of products. The company said it is creating two subsidiaries, Dense-Pac Microsystems P. R. Inc. and Hi Rel Components P. R. Inc., to produce and market the new lines. The 11,000-square-foot facility is expected to double the company’s manufacturing capacity and improve financial performance by reducing the effective tax rate on operations. Dense-Pac is a supplier of ceramic-based memory modules for military and industrial uses.
