Theodore White Critical From Effects of a Stroke

NEW YORK —
Theodore White, 71, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “The Making of the President,” was in critical condition Tuesday from the effects of a stroke suffered May 6. A spokeswoman at Manhattan’s Hill Hospital said that White entered the hospital in critical condition Friday, and had not regained consciousness.
