Fulfilling a promise he made three years ago, film and stage actor Anthony Quinn donated his personal collection of books, paintings and movie memorabilia to the county’s Anthony Quinn Library in East Los Angeles. The Mexican-born Quinn, who grew up in the poor neighborhood where the library was erected, made the donation because he wants “to give something back to the people he grew up with,” said spokeswoman Kathy Benvin.
