U.S.S.R. for Samantha’s Friends

Samantha Smith’s school adviser said today 22 of her classmates will retrace parts of her historic 1983 trip to the Soviet Union this summer.

Bill Preble said the eighth-grade students will go to Moscow in early July to participate in the opening ceremonies of the Goodwill Games. The games have been dedicated in honor of Samantha, who died last August in a plane crash.
