Acrobat Falls 390 Feet to Death

MADRID —
An acrobat fell to his death from a 390-foot high wire today at Madrid’s central Plaza Espana, police said.
Julian de la Horra of the West German troupe Bordinis died soon after arriving at a hospital. De la Horra, 35, was hanging from a bar attached to a motorcycle crossing the square on a high wire linking two of Madrid’s tallest buildings. Police said he fell when the bar broke.
