Alabama Is Selected to Win SEC Football

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Alabama is favored to win the 1986 Southeastern Conference football championship, according to a poll of SEC sports information directors.
The Crimson Tide, which went 9-2-1 last season, received seven first-place votes out of a possible nine in The Birmingham News’ survey. No team votes for itself in the poll.
