Simpson Named to Head Transamerica Insurance
William A. Simpson, 47, on Monday was named president of Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance, Los Angeles, succeeding David R. Carpenter, who will continue as chairman and chief executive.
Simpson, who has been with the company since 1965, has served as executive vice president in charge of the individual insurance division for the past three years.
