Share

International Remote Imaging Systems said its loss narrowed to $377,000, or 2 cents a share, in the first quarter, from a deficit of $588,000, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier.

The Chatsworth company, which makes urinalysis work stations used by hospitals and commercial laboratories, cited its 35% increase in revenue, to $534,000, as the major reason for the smaller loss. It said operating expenses also were cut.
