Bell Gardens : School Air Conditioning

Share

Students attending Live Oak Adult Center in Bell Gardens will find the classrooms cooler come September.

The Montebello Unified School District school board has authorized air conditioning for the school’s eight classrooms at a cost of $60,520.

A contract was awarded last week to the Pacific Mechanical Systems Inc. of Torrance.

The approximately 5,500 students that attend the school “will not suffer as much as in previous years,” said Stephen L. Phillips, district business manager.

The work is expected to start in about two months and be completed by the end of August.

The school is more than 20 years old and formerly served as an elementary school.
