Resolutions urging President Reagan to end nuclear weapons testing, passed by 109 local governments and four state legislatures, are being sent to the White House.

Four groups that advocate arms control--Physicians for Social Responsibility, SANE, the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign and Women’s Action for Nuclear Disarmament--plan to deliver the resolutions to the White House today.

“The voice of over 50 million American people has spoken through the passage of resolutions in more than 100 town, city and state legislatures,” Dr. H. Jack Geiger, president of the physicians’ group, said in a statement.

The resolutions ask Reagan to call off the current round of underground tests for as long as the Soviet Union refrains from conducting tests. The Soviets declared a unilateral moratorium on testing nuclear warheads last August.

The legislatures of Washington, New York, Hawaii and Rhode Island passed the resolutions. Ohio Gov. Richard F. Celeste endorsed a resolution by proclamation.
