8 Die in South Korea Fire

SEOUL, South Korea —
Eight people were killed and nine injured Thursday in a fire that started in a first-floor laundry and swept through a three-story building in a northern district of Seoul, police said. Six of the dead were 4- and 5-year-old children who were at a nursery on the third floor. All the victims died of smoke inhalation, the police said.
