Ultrasystems Reports 1st-Quarter Net Up 49%

Ultrasystems Inc. said Thursday that net earnings for the fiscal first quarter, ended April 30, increased 49% to $1.3 million from $871,000 a year earlier. The Irvine-based engineering and development company, which specializes in alternative energy plants, said revenues during the quarter totaled $38.5 million, up 18% from $32.6 million a year earlier.
