Reagan Signs Bill to Cut FCC Terms to Five Years

WASHINGTON — President Reagan signed legislation Friday reducing the terms of members of the Federal Communications Commission from seven years to five. The White House announced Thursday that Reagan plans to nominate Mark Fowler to a second term as FCC chairman when his current term expires June 30.
