Archive Corp. said it has restructured its operations management to enable it to better handle sales of computer cartridge tape drives and to continue shifting production of the devices to the Far East. The restructuring involved the hiring of two new vice presidents.

Jack Callahan, 58, has been named vice president of manufacturing operations, replacing William Kreidler, who resigned to take a position with the Kennedy Co. in Monrovia. Callahan had been vice president of operations at Mouse Systems Corp. and at Western Digital Corp.

Ronald W. Kenwisher, 46, has been hired to fill the newly created position of vice president for quality control. He was director of quality assurance at Magnetic Peripherals Inc., a Control Data Corp. subsidiary.

Additionally, B.C. Ang, 42, managing director of Singapore PTE Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Archive Corp., was promoted to general manager of Archive’s Far East operations, a position that expands his current duties.

Callahan and Kenwisher will report directly to Pete Wilson, Archive’s president and chief operating officer. Ang will report to Callahan.

John D. Lara of Irvine has been named to the newly created position of vice president for finance at ICN Biomedicals Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Costa Mesa. Lara had been director of international operations, administration and planning for Smith International Inc. in Irvine. Before that, he had been director of financial planning and analysis of Fluor Corp. in Irvine.
