Fox Television Stations will redeem some shares.

The company, created just three months ago with the acquisition of six Metromedia TV stations, said it will redeem $460 million, or 40%, of the total number of shares of preferred stock issued last March. Industry sources said they were not surprised by the move because interest rates have dropped in the interim.
