The Weingart Foundation has increased its gift to the fund-raising campaign of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from $1 million to $3 million, foundation chairman Harry J. Volk announced. The Weingart donation--one of the largest in the foundation’s and the museum’s histories--will go toward construction of a new $10-million, 40-000-square-foot Pavilion of Evolving Life, which will front on Exposition Boulevard and serve as the new entrance to the museum.
