Discounts That Count

Share

Ramada Inns is offering a trio of new programs with discounts for weekends, families and holidays. About 400 Ramada properties are participating in the programs nationwide, which represents about 75% of the chain.

The Supersaver Weekend program offers reduced rates on a regional basis, varying from $25 to $39.90 per night on a double-occupancy basis. While the rates may vary from region to region, they represent as much as a 50% discount off regular rates. The special rates, available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, will stay the same throughout the year.

The reduced rate for participating properties in California is $39.90 per night/double occupancy. Ramada has 11 promotional regions for this offer, so you have to check the rate for the area you’re interested in. Some other rates are $39.90 in Pennsylvania and $29.90 in both Ohio and Michigan.

Family Bonus Plan

Under the Family Bonus Plan, scheduled to start this month, up to four people can stay in one room for the regular rate all seven days of the week. Children under 12 get complimentary breakfast and dinner. You also receive a discount certificate worth $5 off another Ramada stay. Discount certificates used during 1986 will be entered into a drawing for one grand prize in February, 1987.

Both the weekend and family plan run until the end of the year.

To build traffic during the Thanksgiving and Christmas periods, the chain is also offering special rates for the day before and the day of the specific holiday. These rates will be lower than the Supersaver weekend rate, according to Ramada, but you have to check with individual properties to learn their exact figures.

Capacity-Controlled Basis

As with most programs of this type, rooms are on a capacity-controlled basis. Make your reservations early, and ask for the program you’re interested in at the time of booking. This is a good policy anytime, but it’s particularly important here because not all Ramada properties are involved in each program.

There are no advance reservations. Time permitting, you should get a confirmation slip of your booking that indicates the discounted rate.
