James L. Anderson has been named president and chief operating officer of Commercial Bankers Life Insurance Co. He replaces John S. Rousseau, who was named chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the insurance company. Anderson was previously president of Fremont Insurance Services. Commercial Bankers, a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Fremont General Corp., is headquartered in Newport Beach.
