Ex-Rep. Hansen Begins Serving Prison Term

PETERSBURG, Va. —
Former Rep. George Hansen surrendered Friday at a minimum-security federal prison camp to begin serving a 5-to-15-month sentence for falsifying financial disclosure statements.
Hansen, an Idaho Republican convicted in April, 1984, arrived at the Petersburg Federal Prison Camp shortly before the deadline, a prison spokesman said.
