Yugoslavia Cracks Down on Albanian Nationalist Action

From Reuters

Yugoslavia has adopted tough measures against Albanian nationalism to stem an exodus of Serbs and Montenegrins being driven from their homes in the Kosovo region due to harassment by the local Albanian majority.

The official Tanjug news agency said the Supreme Communist Party and state organs adopted the measures last week.

The autonomous Kosovo province, a part of the republic of Serbia, has been a trouble spot since 1981, when Albanian nationalists staged riots that left at least nine dead.
