Somali Leader Released From Saudi Hospital

ROME —
Somali President Mohamed Siad Barre has been released from a Saudi Arabian hospital after recovering from injuries in an car accident last month, the Somali Embassy here announced.
An embassy statement Saturday said the 67-year-old president, who suffered head and chest injuries in the accident, will return to Somalia within 48 hours.
