Kaiser Aluminum said it lost a court decision.

The Oakland-based company, the nation’s third-largest independent producer of aluminum, said it was “very disappointed” by the Supreme Court’s refusal to review a $9.6-million antitrust decision against Kaiser for monopolizing the market for aluminum drainage pipes. An appeals court had ruled in favor of stockholders of the now defunct Columbia Metal Culvert, a Kaiser supplier.
