The Lowell, Mass.-computer company said that its aim is to improve the company’s profitability outlook for 1987 and that the employee cuts will first be through attrition. Despite continuing softness in demand, Wang said, it expects to report a 10% increase in revenue and flat earnings for its current quarter and higher revenue and earnings for its fiscal year, which ends June 30.
