New Hampshire Denies Permit to E. Germans

CONCORD, N.H. —
Gov. John H. Sununu on Saturday denied a request to allow an East German fish processing ship to work off New Hampshire’s coast during the summer. Critics had cited security concerns over the presence of a Soviet Bloc ship so near to Pease Air Force Base in Newington and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Me. Sununu did not give his reasons for refusing the request.
