12 COMPOSERS AWARDED GRANTS

NEW YORK — Twelve composers of symphonic music have been named recipients of the seventh annual ASCAP Foundation Grants to Young Composers.
The competition, for composers under 30, awarded a total of $12,200 in grants. The winners were:
Paul Barsom of Rochester, N.Y.; Whitman Brown of Austin, Tex.; Justine Chen and her sister, Wendy Fang Chen, of New York; Beth Denisch of Medford, Mass.; Lawrence Dillon of New York; Scott Eyerly of New York; Kerry Nelson Jones of Bellaire, Tex.; Timothy Kramer of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Chris Meyer of Falmouth, Mass; Melinda Wagner of Philadelphia, and Dalit Paz Warshaw of New York.
