Irvine/ Tustin : Lower Sewer Rates Start in Irvine Water District
About 37,000 customers of the Irvine Ranch Water District will receive bills reflecting reduced sewer rates and no increase in water rates beginning today, according to Peer Swan, president of the board of directors.
The sewer service charge for the average residential customer will drop from $9.70 to $9.25 per month, Swan said, while the water consumption charge will remain at 53 cents per 748 gallons and the monthly service charge at $4.
Customers receiving reclaimed water for landscape irrigation will get a reduction of $18 per acre-foot in the commodity portion of their monthly bill.
The district serves Irvine and portions of Tustin, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach.
