Lindbergh Park to Open

Share

This 65-year-old city is scheduled to open its third park in its history next month.

The one-acre Lindbergh Park on El Segundo Boulevard near Cedar Avenue cost about $140,000 to develop, said Harold Mattoon, director of the Recreation and Parks Department.

More than $106,000 were state funds with the city supplying the remainder, Mattoon said.

City officials are expected to dedicate the park today in a 10 a.m. ceremony.

Lynwood Park, 32 acres, and Ham Memorial Park, 10 acres, are the two other parks in this city of 51,000.
