Record 2,320 Entries for Junior Amateur Golf

A record 2,320 entries have been received by the U. S. Golf Assn. for the 39th U. S. Junior Amateur Championship July 22-26 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club.

The 153-player field includes Gregory Lesher, last year’s runner-up, and Kevin Wentworth, a 1985 semifinalist. The competitors will play two 18-hole stroke-play qualifying rounds to trim the field to 64 for match play.
