“Ansel Adams, Photographer.” Pacific Arts. $29.95. In this rambling visit with the late Great Man, America’s favorite photographer muses about Yosemite, plays the piano and takes a walk in New Mexico with the late Great Woman, Georgia O’Keeffe. Adams also talks about pre-visualizing photographs to make pictures of “something that is not literally there,” shares his zone system with students in the woods and does a few turns in the darkroom, but there’s little artistic or technical substance to this film. It’s essentially an adoring portrait--disorganized, repetitious and too long by half.
