Aid to Contras Protested

MADRID —
About 500 people gathered at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid on Tuesday to protest American aid to contra rebels in Nicaragua, police said. The protest broke up without incident after police prevented the demonstrators from delivering a statement to U.S. Ambassador Reginald Bartholomew.
