Nobody Understands Angels, Pontiff Says

VATICAN CITY —
Pope John Paul II said today that angels really do exist but that they have been misunderstood throughout history.
“The angels are those creatures which are unseen. They are invisible for they are purely spiritual beings,” the Pope said during his weekly general audience in St. Peter’s Square.
